My local shelter is an excellent shelter that takes very good care of all their animals including their guinea pigs. I was have trouble finding a pig through my local shelter as they usually fly out the door like hotcakes. So I called the humane society shelter in the town next to mine and they happened to have two pigs their who had been their for over a month. Wanting to know about breeds and ages of guinea pigs that I have for adoption.

After I go through a few minor responses, we get to my standard big question:

"Why?"

To make a long story short, she has what sounds like 2 sick guinea pigs. She thinks one is going to die, so is already on the hunt for another one. Old age. Yeah. 3 years old.

Starts with a call from a woman who had called me about a month ago. A strong-willed, intelligent sounding woman. She said she had three babies that she needed to find homes for. Apparently the parents came from a pet store where they had been missexed. The babies were born on 11/14/01.
